Real Betis have announced the 20-man squad they will take to Catalonia for
Saturday's LaLiga opener against reigning champions Barcelona - which kicks off at 18:15 local time.
Coach Gus
Poyet, who was hired by the Seville club in May, was unable to count on new
signings Manu Herrera and Roman Zozulya, as this match comes too early for them
to debut.
Left-back
Alex Martinez also misses out, as he struggles with a muscle contracture in his
right leg.
As such, the
squad for Poyet's first competitive match in charge of Los Verdiblancos is as
follows: Adan, Dani Gimenez, Piccini, Bruno, Mandi, Pezzella, Jose Carlos,
Durmisi, Petros, Fabian, Felipe Gutierrez, Jonas Martin, Dani Ceballos, Cejudo,
Joaquin, Nahuel, Musonda Jr, Alex Alegria, Tonny Sanabria and Ruben Castro.
