Spanish communication firm 'Comunicar es
ganar' (to communicate is to win) recently publised their findings on the way
coaches throughout Europe craft their messaging and employ a range of verbal
and non-verbal skills to get important information across.
The company specialises in public
communications in the world of sport and produces a study three times a year on
football's top coaches.
In Spain, Diego Simeone leads the way with a score of 78.6
(out of 100), with Zinedine Zidane not far behind with 74.3.
In-form Las Palmas see their manager ranked
third with 67.2, perhaps surprisingly a step ahead of Barcelona's Luis Enrique
in fourth at 66.3.
Pep Guardiola has the best reputation in all
of Europe at 82.6, followed closely by former Real boss Carlo Ancelotti at
81.6.
The scores are aggregated over 10 specific
categories that analyse a coach's reputation and evaluates how succesful their
communication strategies prove across a season.
