Alvaro Morata left the game in the 23rd minute |
The important match for Spain is on Monday
against Liechtenstein for the 2018 World Cup qualifier, but during a
friendly against Belgium on
Thursday, Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata left the pitch injured in the 23rd
minute.
Diego Costa took the ex-Juventus man's place,
after a knock to Morata's knee or upper muscle meant he could no longer
continue.
Despite not getting the call-up for Euro
2016, Julen Lopetegui preferred to bring on Costa than new Barcelona signing
Paco Alcacer, also on the bench.
The player marched straight to the dressing
room to meet with the national team doctors, and further testing will determine
the extent of the injury.
