Return to Stamford
Bridge for Brazilian centre-back
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
will get the new defender he's been after all summer, as the Blues have agreed
to a deal that will see David Luiz return to London.
The Brazilian left the London club for PSG
back in 2014 for a fee close to 62 million, but his time in France is about to
end after two seasons.
Sky Sports UK report that the Ligue 1 outfit
have agreed to a deal worth 40m for the 29-year-old, who is expected to undergo
a medical in the coming hours.
Conte has been on the lookout for a new
defender all summer, but moves for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and AC Milan's
Alessio Romagnoli never materialised.
Instead, he'll now have Luiz at his disposal
once the deal is made official before the end of the transfer window.
Luiz netted three goals in 40 appearances
across all competitions for PSG last season, as the French side cruised to
another Ligue 1 title.
