match in charge, Gus Poyet hopes his Real Betis team can cause an upset and
stop Barcelona from securing a routine home win.
The
Uruguayan believes that Los Verdiblancos are ready for their season opener and
that they could return to Andalusia with a point or three.
"We're
going to try to find the formula to stop Barcelona from being Barcelona, to do
what most teams cannot," he said in his pre-match press conference.
"Everybody
wants to find the magic formula to beat Barcelona in their own ground, but it's
not easy."
Although he
considered it possible to stop the Blaugrana as a whole, Poyet did admit that
Leo Messi is unstoppable.
"I
don't think there is a formula to stop Messi because he plays based on what you
do," he explained to the media.
"He
finds a way to beat you no matter what- he's sharp and hungry and was very good
the other day.
