They once vied for LaLiga but Valencia
have enjoyed a more fruitful relationship with Barcelona after selling them
five players in six seasons.
Paco Alcacer became the
latest to traverse the path from the Estadio de Mestalla to the Camp Nou to take Los Che's income from player sales to 139 million
euros.

§ Andre Gomes. Like Alcacer, Gomes also arrived this summer with
Barcelona spending an initial 35 million euros with a further 20 million set out
in add-ons. Should the Portuguese win the Ballon d'Or, it will see the
Azulgranas pay an additional 15 million euros.
§ Jeremy Mathieu. The France
international arrived in the summer of 2014 in a deal worth 20 million euros, as Luis Enrique
targeted a versatile performer who could play at full-back as well as in
central defence.
§ Jordi Alba. One of Barcelona's home-grown products who was
subsequently bought back, Alba agreed to rejoin his former club midway through
Spain's Euro 2012 campaign for the price of 14 million euros.
§ David Villa. A marquee signing of Pep Guardiola's reign when
he became Zlatan Ibrahimovic's replacement in the summer of 2010, Villa cost
Barcelona40 million euros at a time when his footballing stock was at its peak.
§ Gerard Lopez. Another La Masia graduate who was let go and then
re-signed, former president Joan Gaspart sanctioned Lopez's 22 million euro move in
summer 2000.
