Real Madrid's midfield has come to rely on
the runs and vision of Luka Modric, who has now been at the club for four
seasons.
Saturday's
2-1 victory over Celta Vigo marked the occassion, and the midfielder read the
game well to lead his team past a very competitive Galician side.
"These
have been four marvelous years, I'm very happy here, and I hope to play at Real
Madrid for many years to come," Modric said. "I've won a lot of
titles and hope to win many more."
Few could
imagine a Real midfield without the Croat's stewardship, and as a result, he is
set to pen a new contract to reflect his commitment with the club.
