Bagging three goals at the European Championship for Spain in
the summer did no harm to Alvaro Morata's prospects of leaving Juventus, as the
forward received numerous enquiries on a daily basis.
Although Real Madrid had made it clear that they would be
signing Morata on a 30 million euro buy-back clause already agreed with the
Serie A side, many clubs were hopeful that Los Blancos would be interested in selling on
the striker.
"It was hard for me to be at Euro 2016 and have five or six
phone calls every day from different places," remarked the Spaniard to
MARCA.
"I was focused enough, and professional enough, to deal
with the situation."
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and even
Atletico Madrid were linked with Morata, who recently scored his first goal
upon returning at Real, in the 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.
