tletico Madrid added two more
players to their list of loanees on Tuesday with both Oliver Torres and
Javier Manquillo leaving the Rojiblancos for Portugal and England respectively.
Torres has joined the Portuguese
giants Porto, with an option to make the deal permanent for 20 million euros at
the end of the season, while Manquillo is joining David Moyes at Sunderland
under similar terms with the future price set at 11m.
The fact that the Torres deal has
the option rather than an obligation to make the move permanent comes as
something of a surprise given that an outright deal along these lines had been
expected, but Porto's president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa had insisted to the
Champions League runners-up that this remains his intention come the end of the
season.
The Portuguese attacker Diogo Jota -
recently arrived from Pacos de Ferreira - is also Porto bound with a future
option set at 22m, joining a lengthy list of players that have moved on either
to gain first team football or to place themselves in a better position come
future transfer windows.
Nothing has been determined yet
regarding the future of Italian forward Alessio Cerci who the club are keen to
move on from following his loan spells at Milan and Genoa.
