Valencia may have lost Paco Alcacer to Barcelona, but the silver lining of that
move is the arrival of
Munir El Haddadi, a player who told the club's official TV
channel of his pride in arriving at the Estadio Mestalla.
An
offer had been on the table from Celta Vigo, but the 20-year-old turned it down
in order to move to Los Che on a season-long loan.
"I'm
very happy to have signed for Valencia," he told VCFplay, the club's media
channel. "It was a very ambitious proposal and I couldn't pass up on this
opportunity.
"Valencia
is a great club, which has always been at the top level and I'm sure it will
get back there."
The
forward spoke of his goals for the season and of how he hopes to improve his
game.
"I
will try to give my all and I will try to win everything possible," he
said. "I'm sure we'll achieve that and that we'll be up there.
"I'm
sure I will grow [at Valencia] and that I will enjoy my football."
Another
bonus for the striker is already being familiar with Santi Mina and Jose Luis
Gaya from international duty with Spain's Under-19 team, while he also knows
Martin Montoya, who made a similar switch from the Camp Nou to the Mestalla
earlier in the summer.
