Adifficult first season for Arda Turan at the Catalan club hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign, starting off on the right foot with an excellent assist for Luis Suarez to help lift Barcelona to a first leg Supercopa de Espana victory against Sevilla on Sunday night.
The FIFA transfer ban which prevented the Turk from participating for six months last season didn't do the player any favours, with him taking longer to adapt than many had hoped.
With the backing of club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, and coach Luis Enrique as well, the starting, more advanced role seemed to suit the Turkish midfielder.
