- Barcelona end pre-season with wins over Celtic, Leicester City and Sampadoria, along with one heavy defeat by Liverpool at Wembley
Here are our ratings for Barcelona players' performances during the preseason campaign.
Ter Stegen 6: A protagonist in the summer, more for his possible departure than for his sporting performance. Played half a game against Liverpool and a third of the Gamper, letting in a goal in each game.
Claudio Bravo 5: In just 75 minutes he has let in four goals. Arguably the fourth netted by Liverpool was his fault.
Jordi Masip 6: Played 90 minutes against Celtic and Leicester, without any good saves or errors.
Sergi Roberto 7: Used in midfield in the first two games and then full-back in the second too. Good in attack, a few doubts in defence, just like his team-mates.
Jordi Alba N/A: Not yet made his debut, missing Liverpool for stomach problems and then the Gamper for muscular issues.
Aleix Vidal 5: Fragile, vulnerable in defence, although going forward has impressed.
Gerard Pique 7: Lacking fitness but brought security and quality when playing.
Samuel Umtiti 6: Made his debut against Sampadoria, without much time to do anything.
Jeremy Mathieu 6: A mixed pre-season, alternating good interventions with unforgivable errors.
Javier Mascherano 5: Off the pace, both with and without the ball. It's not worrying because he's a guarantee and it's a question of time before he gets back to his best.
Lucas Digne 7: One of the positive notes of preseason. Fresh and with enthusiasm to add to the team. Appeared a lot going forward and made no errors at the back.
Sergio Busquets 6: Lacked mental and physical fitness to be his best self. Too many balls given away and some have resulted in goals.
Ivan Rakitic 7: The Croat has often been seen in attack, shooting from distance and getting into the box. However, has been a bit lacking in defensive tasks, he's a bit short of gas.
Andres Iniesta 8: When he's been on the pitch, you noticed. Even without as much spark as he wants, has been very good.
Andre Gomes 6: The most exciting signing of the summer was the last to return to work. Played a few minutes against Sampadoria.
Sergi Samper 6: Luis Enrique believes in him but wants him to follow Denis Suarez's footsteps to become better.
Denis Suarez 8: The Galician showed why Barcelona brought him back. A fine understanding with Lionel Messi.
Arda Turan 7: Not at the level he was for Atletico but neither is he the apathetic player from last season. Need more time to confirm his level.
Lionel Messi 10: The best in the world doesn't even rest during practice. Not even in pre-season. No more words necessary.
Luis Suarez 9: The Uruguayan is pure oxygen for Barcelona. He works, presses, scores and assists. Lacks a little bit of spark but without it is still a decisive star.
Munir El Haddadi 8: While Barcelona look for a fourth striker, he's proving a point - top scorer in pre-season with three goals.
