Coming off the back of a victorious,
but gruelling, Olympic Games has obviously taken its toll on Neymar who has been granted special
permission by Luis Enrique to stay in his home country.
Originally
due to rejoin Barcelona on Wednesday, Neymar will now enjoy a few days holiday
and as a result will miss the trip to San Mames and a date with Athletic Club.
The player
himself has never asked for any such permission to be granted, either on this
occasion or at any stage before, therefore Enrique has judged it in the best
interests of the club to allow one of the Blaugrana's talismen the luxury of
some free time.
Neymar's
first game back for the Catalans will now be the fixture in week three against
Alaves who gave a wonderful account of themselves at the Vicente Calderon,
holding Atletico Madrid to an opening day draw.
