Trondheim building up to UEFA Super Cup

    • UEFA Super CupReal Madrid and Sevilla fans descending on Nordic city

Lerkendal Stadion may only be home to 21,000 fans for tonight's UEFA Super Cup clash between Sevilla and Real Madrid, but the local area is awash with Los Blancos and Rojiblancos supporters.
Traditionally, the season-opener took place in Monaco's Stade Louis II but since 2013 UEFA have used it as a tool for reaching the further corners of Europe's football map, and this year is Norway's turn.
Kicking off at 20:45 local time, there will be just 1,000 supporters from either time officially designated tickets for the match, although the stadium should be at capacity.
Until then, Trondheim city centre is acting as the centre of a party to celebrate the new season, even if it is a little damp.
